- by OCF
On the 21st of August 2024, the Okachi Charity Foundation (OCF) transformed a routine back-to- school event into a beacon of hope for children at Orile-Agege General Hospital. What began as a mission to ensure that students were ready to return to school with good health quickly evolved into a day of profound impact and community connection. As the day unfolded, more OCF volunteers joined, each bringing their unique energy and dedication. Mrs. Violet, Miss Favour, and the media team collaborated seamlessly with Dr. Adeluyi, setting up displays of OCF’s giveaways educational materials and health kits designed to equip children for both school and life. The hospital’s leadership, clearly appreciative of OCF’s efforts, helped to ensure that the Foundation’s mission was visible and impactful throughout the event.
The interaction with the children was the heart of the day. At the bouncing castle, 50 school bags were shared to the children, Tosin and Favour turned a health-focused event into a joyful experience. They engaged the children with trivia and games, asking questions like “When was the current President elected?” These interactions were not just fun; they were a bridge, connecting healthcare with education in a way that resonated deeply with both the children and their parents. The parents, watching their children laugh and learn, began to ask for more of the OCF giveaways, a testament to the value they saw in what the Foundation was providing. As the main event gathered momentum and more guests arrived, the significance of OCF’s presence became even clearer.
