Kano Project Report: Empowering Girls

After the successful outreach at Madaral Satul Tahfizul Quaran Wal Walilmal, a boys’ school in Hayata Badawa U/Haya, Nassarawa L.G.A., the Okachi Charity Foundation set its sights on a new mission. On May 1st, 2024, they visited Zakariyya Yusuf Secondary School, a girls’ school in Gina Kara U/Gaya, Nasarawa L.G.A., Kano State. The girls at Zakariyya Yusuf, especially those in SS1 to SS3, were in dire need of sanitary pads.
The project reached its climax on May 14th, 2024, when the team distributed 240 sanitary pad sat Zakariyya Yusuf Secondary School. This effort ensured that the girls could attend school comfortably and with dignity. The smiles on the children’s faces were a testament to the positive impact of the initiative.
Reflecting on this accomplishment, the Kano project exemplifies the change that can be achieved through commitment and compassion.The Okachi Charity Foundation remains dedicated to supporting and uplifting young learners,creating a brighter future for all.
